Advantages of the webcam:
Inexpensive for 1080p. Plug and play. Comes with a light ring. Physical camera lens to block when not in use.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
Bit flimsy, not the most stable platform. Phone holder won't fit larger (i.e. 5.5"+" size phones I would think). Does take 2 USB ports to run (1 for the camera, 1 for the light).
