Advantages of the webcam:
Right out of the box the video clarity if fantastic. It works best with minimal lighting. I believe this is designed that way.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
I just purchased this, so do not have live experience yet, however using this site to test it, shows a lower frame rate (23) than that advertised and it is visible to me via watching myself type this.

My last webcam was fine for zoom calls etc. but not for overhead live demo's which I do for work. I wanted something that has a clear/sharp video so that the students can see the details clearly. Although this is slow, the clarity is fantastic.
