Advantages of the webcam:
Able to output whatever is displayed on my NVIDIA Shield wirelessly to a virtual camera device, with free and open software, and with resource usage equivalent to the very browser window that is open now.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
Omegle issues an 'instaban' at this point any time it is displayed on their site. use on sites like theirs with extreme caution.
