Advantages of the webcam:
It's an integrated, HD camera. It came with the laptop and requires no upgrading whatsoever to maintain a professional appearance in a world moving more and more towards WFH. It also got a build in plastic slider to cover the cam when not in use.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
It's integrated, so repairs could theoretically be a pain, but it's been several years without failure of the device.
