Advantages of the webcam:
It's a very decent entry-level Streaming Cam. It's got a smaller amount of options, but still covers all the bases. I've been using it a little over a year for meetings and such, no issues at all.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
1920x1080 for starters. Again, if you're in meetings and the like, this is fine. If you're a Streamer, entry point, yes. But if you're going Pro, look for something with a little higher resolution.

For my needs it was the perfect camera at the perfect price point. I don't need fancy, I need decent and easy to set up. I have enough things that need updates and attention, it's nice to have a piece of hardware that Just Works.
