Advantages of the webcam:
It was a fair price and has great quality pictures and framerate. It is USB so it never needs batteries (batteries die at the worst possible times Eg. Taking a proctored TEAS exam).
Disadvantages of the webcam:
The quality is HD 1080p (today's standards are more 4k).

Overall it is a great camera for the quality you get and the price you pay.
