Advantages of the webcam:
DSLR Canon's new EOS Webcam Utility that works with the some of the latest models: https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/self-help-center/eos-webcam-utility/ Great picture quality.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
low resolution using through USB, 1024×576 as this website says. but still, for a webcam, you can't beat the quality by any "webcam" which is not a DSLR.

I also use a black magic Intensity pro 4K capture card, but it for using with OBS, it doesn't allow it to show as a webcam for some reason, I'm trying to make it work, it shows "BlackMagic WDM Capture" but it doesn't show a picture. it should show amazing 1080P as it shows on all other apps on my PC.
