Advantages of the webcam:
Cheap. Easy to set up. Quality is good for the price.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
Quality isn't the best. The light on the webcam isn't that bright. Focusing on the camera is not the best it has tendencies to not focus on what you want it to focus on.

Bought on Amazon for $15 ($14.99). Super cheap webcam quality is surprisingly good for the price. Would only recommend it if you don't need it for something that requires good picture quality.
