Review #14560 about “WEICHA”
Author: Tim
Webcam: WEICHA
Rating: Awful (1 out of 5)
Date:
Advantages of the webcam:
It was in stock when all the better brands were sold out.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
Modern technology? Nope. Modern poor quality imported garbage. Awful brightness / dynamic range. Anything that is slightly brighter appears as bright white on the webcam. I had to completely cover my window even though it had closed blinds because the webcam could not handle the sunlight leaking through. Also the plastic stand has no grip on the bottom so it's not ideal for use on a smooth desk. The stiffness of the cord alone can cause it to spin on a smooth surface and point some place else. It's ok when clamped on top of a monitor. Image is grainy. I would not be surprised if it's up-scaling the image from a low res sensor.
Author’s comment:
Purchased online for 54.99 during the corona virus webcam shortage. It might be worth $19. Asin=B08738LXQY on amazon. I need it for online testing but I might return it if I can find something better in stock. Can you guess where it's made? Same place as all the other junk. I'm pretty sure my 20 year old intel webcam has better brightness regulation. I'd use it but it's not compatible with windows 10 and the resolution is not quite enough. Now that more reviews are coming in(from real people),I'm fairly confident that the initial reviews on the sellers site were fake.
