Review #146943 about “Canon Legria HF R106”

Webcam: Canon Legria HF R106
Rating: Good (4 out of 5)
Date:

Advantages of the webcam:
My webcam is actually an old Canon camcorder that I have plugged into my PC via a mini HDMI lead to a USB capture card. Because I already had the old camcorder I only had to spend £15 to buy the mini HDMI cable and capture card in order to make my obsolete camcorder into a pretty decent webcam

Disadvantages of the webcam:
Its rather large and I have to remember to turn the camcorder on separately from my PC as it doesn't start up automatically.

Author’s comment:
it has been a fun project from finding out its possible from YouTube to actually putting it into practice.
