Advantages of the webcam:
Works fine on browsers, Skype and Microsoft Teams Preview for Linux with full HD resolution. Although not identified by this website, it features a microphone.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
It does not work right with Cheese or VLC (it shows the image, but it refresh very slowly; raising a hand and keeping it still creates a "ghost" effect during some seconds in which the hand is transparent and it progressively gets more consistent. Also, although not a defect by itself, it has a very wide view angle (~ 100º), which is fine for an office meeting, but not so if your home room is not very tidy. :-)
