Advantages of the webcam:
I used this webcam one this Dell laptop 12 years ago no problems. It does have a build in mic. Now I updated to Linux Mint Mate and it won't see it. I down some programs, one did recognize it with sound, but very poor quality video. The other no sound. Still Linux does not see it.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
I do need to find the drivers for it.
