Advantages of the webcam:
Resolution better than I remembered from using a few years ago, and good brightness considering low lighting level at night.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
I have to sit quite high up to be central in the image, because of the tall iMAC stand. Nothing wrong with the camera, just the position.

Very handy to be able to do a quick check to see if webcam is still working on this old model.
