Advantages of the webcam:
This cam is medium in size and so does not occupy desk space. It has integrated Mic and it frees our hands from holding a separate Mic. Having terminated in a USB, this Cam can be hot swapped at will.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
The Cam's resolution is only 8.29 MP. For the present demands this is much lower than necessary for good videography. It has a unnecessarily large container for no apparent reason. The video card PCB module is too large. While recording table top demos, the Cam obstructs the ligh source by casting a large shadow over the object. A pen type Cam would do much better.
