Advantages of the webcam:
It was fairly cheap, the 1080 p looks pretty good, I haven't fiddled with it's config yet, at work I got it to look REAL good on a Lenovo P1G7 (Nvidia RTX3000) and it looked REAL good. I am sure I can get it as good or better on this desktop. (2K displays so only 1080p)
Disadvantages of the webcam:
It does not do 2K resolutions it has no native Linux software alternative software for Linux runs perfectly fine but it would be nice to have software supported by Logitech on my OS of choice. Logitech DOES have a very rich Linux world inside of it though so I keep supporting them. An internal dev turned me on to some code he developed (released GPL'd) that enables the configuration of the most Logitech webcams from a webpage. Cameractrlsgtk works fine for me on EndeavourOS. It would be nice if CameraCTRZLSGTK had a ferature to disable the webcams audio. Doing it manually works fine though..then my headset can be used with their webcam and it is a MUCH superior sound...$600+ studio listening headset not recording.

I am very happy iwth this purchase so far...I have only tested it on website webcam testing but I need it for mostly virtual medical appointments and if it works in the browser that's good for me. I do not use teams on my CLEAN Linux--that would be like polluting the environment, bad enough I have to put up with WINE games - sand boxed as they are I still don't trust them. NO one I know uses Zoom.
