Advantages of the webcam:
Professional Microscope Camera, unfortunately I don't have the adapter to test it fully at the moment, but comments below should help get it running.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
Seems slow through the DirectShow interface. Primarily designed for custom software integration. uEye. USB 2 - Mini USB Connector

This Microscope is officially by Olympus, but no longer supported. The original manufacturer is IDS. It is an IDS UI 149x LE variant, the drivers are compatible. https://en.ids-imaging.com You need to download the "IDS Software Suite 4.97 for Windows" package for the drivers and software, not the newer "IDS Peak".
