Review #220136 about “Logitech Brio 101”

Webcam: Logitech Brio 101
Rating: Good (4 out of 5)
Date:

Advantages of the webcam:
It's small, inexpensive, and blocks a relatively small portion of the screen. A light indicates that it's on, which is good. You can either turn it off or slide the handy cover over it. (A cover for Logitech's pricier models costs something silly.)

Disadvantages of the webcam:
Not suitable for serious video work. Colors seem a bit light (to my eyes), and the image is not as sharp as desired. The fact that it isn't wireless is a disadvantage, though the cord should be long enough for normal applications. And my AI bot buddy recommends that you plug it into a USB 2 not 3 port. The clamp is not strong enough for any posiition besides atop the monitor.

Author’s comment:
The unit came without any instructions. Brave.ai quickly had me up and running with this on my Linux Mint system. (I guessed correctly that it would run "out of the box.")
