Advantages of the webcam:
Solid webcam. I have another by this company, that one has been a worker for me. If you can three point light it produces a soft reddish hue tinged image. At 1080 and 30 fps non full HD. I assume many other cams can beat that? But for the price of this mid range model. Fortunately I haven't had to buy that many webcams.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
If your ambitious and want to change the WB of your respective image. Hard to do. The manual focus is fun. But no matter where you leave it. it will auto focus. Not many bells a whistles. Can get a really pixilated background image when you pair it with chormacam? But beware of that app. For me. it came with a LOT of bloatware.
