Advantages of the webcam:
Good clear picture
Disadvantages of the webcam:
Field of view is far too wide. Using Windows 7, has its problems. Cant use the digital zoom or change background features on Skype. Apparently it uses a driver from Microsoft (2006) who no longer support windows 7. Thus if you are using windows & Don't but this Camera

It would seem papalook thinks thaey can produce hardware and piggyback on other peoples hardware. Just asking for trouble if you ask me.
