Advantages of the webcam:
Natural colors even in high contrast lighting or weaker. Good detail and depth of field (no need for manual focus). Instead of others claiming FullHD but not matching it, this piece is proper 720p and perfectly enough for video calls.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
Not the cheapest maybe

Perfectly worth the price and beyond. Just returned a marginally cheaper 1080p autofocus one to get this instead, can hardly tell how much better it is.
