Advantages of the webcam:
Supersharp image. Plug'n'Play for real, at least on Windows 10. It's fixed focus - no autofocus or zoom to malfunction, or to just be so slow in reacting that it's useless. This model has a built-in ring light, one which actually does make a difference.
Disadvantages of the webcam:

It replaced another plug'n'play which totally sucked. I love this camera.
