Advantages of the webcam:
It usually works very well, requiring very little input from me !
Disadvantages of the webcam:
I use two choices on my iPad a lot! The iPad has a VERY long list of choices I could use. And I use 2 of them in particular. One is the CAMERA. The other is PHOTOS. They work very well - usually every time. Only rarely do they malfunction. Just won’t work at all. And I don’t know, for sure, what to do about it? I then fiddle around trying different ideas - especially switching the iPad off & trying again. That often works: and sometimes - not! Usually it’s not much of a hassle. Just irritating. I’d love to be able to rely on it every time. The other option is to go to our local “Apple Store”. And I know I’m very lucky to have it at all, & not that far away at all ! - Just that it is usually a long, tedious process. Enough of my whinges ……….
