Advantages of the webcam:
Since the Dell XPS13 has a camera on the lower left of the monitor, it makes my image look like it is staring up at my chin instead of straight on. This external webcam rectifies that.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
It isn't always recognized in every USB port, so sometimes I have to try a couple of different ones.
