Advantages of the webcam:

Manufacturers current software is buggy, and has removed a lot of simple check marks like MIRROR. As has become typical, if you report a bug, they will tell you to re-install, re-boot, maybe even re install the OS. Anything but actually try to re-ceate your problem. Its especially sad because the above is with windows-10. Under Windows XP, with their much older drivers, both performance and features were much better
