									Advantages of the webcam:
Full-frame sensor, sharp, unbeatable dynamic range, outstanding color accuracy, no overheating in the 1+ year I've been using it, and interchangeable lenses – including the 24-105mm L lens I'm using, which lets you zoom for detail shots. With the Canon Webcam driver, it'll detect I'm using a video conference app, automatically turn on the camera, and load the manual shutter speed, white balance, color shifts, and picture effects I've set previously, all with under 1 sec of loading.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
Extremely large to have above my monitor, requiring rigging. Costs a lot, and the lens is separate. Does not provide an audio channel so I separately have a Takstar boom mic and USB mic-in card for that. Using the EOS Webcam Utility, and USB cable into my computer, the max image size it'll handle is 1280x720*, and no auto-focus on this camera model*. (*=for video calls, this is plenty fine.)
Author’s comment:
Looking for a cheaper full-frame camera to pull this off since I want to use my current setup for photography :)
