Advantages of the webcam:
Reasonably good quality picture, good range of zoom.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
Parameters have to be reset every time you reboot the PC (eg zoom, brilliance, contract etc. Sandberg recommend a range of control software but they all seem to be for full video production and I just need something to set the parameters and reload it each time it is used.
