Advantages of the webcam:
It is compact and does just what I need for video chats. I like the integrated microphone.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
The shutter is manual. I also no longer have any Logitech software to control the settings or test out the camera

A reliable little camera. It has been faithfully working away for about 10 years.
