Advantages of the webcam:
Cheap $7.99 Webcam from Amazon. With a little coaxing and using Skype's webcam settings, the picture isn't horrible.
Disadvantages of the webcam:
The picture gets muddy/grainy when motion happens. Not good for anything but still video images (IE: Nature, Sleeping Cats, Etc) Requires Skype to adjust webcam settings. Microphone picks up everything. No privacy cover.
